Last week I took advantage of the art forums that were happening across the city by attending the opening of The LA Art Show and visiting the Art Los Angeles Contemporary . Both shows had a significant amount of influential art including photography, sculpture, mixed media and modern art forms. I always find so much inspiration from looking at art and this time was no different. To me, art influences and is the catalyst in starting all emerging trends across the board from fashion to music and technology. Art is where the happenings start. My creativity works best by ingesting all of these visual stories and then letting the dots connect in my brain to output the story that is being told. I saw several stories while strolling thru the gallery and wanted to share the pieces that inspired me most.
BLACK AND WHITE
Seriously hot photo of John Wayne in a hat that reminds me of mine; Dermot Begley Fine Arts Gallery Los Angeles
I’m always a fan of a wall of black and white photos!
Love this photo from the Dermot Begley gallery
I wanted to live in this booth by Dermot Begley; love the palette and the mixed media
These Prada shoes were cast in 2.5 kilos of silver! What every girl wants!
The legendary Henry Duarte and myself representing Westbrook Makers walking around the opening!
I’m wearing Corey Lynn Calter with Alex & Lee; Henry is in his own designs and we both have on our Westbrook Makers hats. It was fun walking around together in our hats.

The photos are of free-roaming wild horses living in the mountains of Western Utah.
SHAPES
I’m a big fan of Chinese artists since my amazing trip to Beijing last year. This one by Xiao fu Yo.
Amazing large scale pieces; the colors and the design were so special. Reminded me a bit of Alex & Lee in a way.
