STYLE.COM FEATURES ALEX AND LEE FOR PROENZA SCHOULER

November 16, 2011

For the past year, I’ve been working with the iconic Heritage Jewelry Brand Alex and Lee from the 1970’s and my goal has been to re-introduce them back into the fashion market. Ever since the first time I laid my eyes on their amazing pieces of work, I’ve known that the rest of the world must see and know about them. Which is why I am happy to share that Style.com’s blog “Style File” ran an article yesterday featuring the Alex and Lee for Proenza Schouler Resort 2012 collection! Take a read below and find out more about this exciting collaboration and get a close up look at the 2 necklaces designed for the collection.

Just as Proenza is gearing up for their own range of Jewelry, Alex and Lee have also debuted a brand new Spring 2012 collection – launched in Los Angeles a month ago to rave reviews. As the brand’s creative consultant, I’ve had an amazing experience working with partners Lee Brooks and Greg Franke (original partner Alex Mate passed away in 1992), learning about their rich history, bringing my expertise on trends and my aesthetic to the table and the relationship has been mutually inspiring.

Alex and Lee’s storied career cannot be fully told in one post, so you can read all about their history on their website http://www.alexandlee.com ( we are currently re-designing the website and it will be re-launched at the beginning of next year). As for Spring 2012, check out the coverage of the Spring 2012 presentation here. Stay tuned to The Sche Report and you will be the first to know where to get your hands on the brand new Spring 2012 collection of Alex and Lee.
