GET THE LOOK: MARGARET SCHE ON EBAY’S STYLE STORIES

June 8, 2011

I am very honored to be featured on Ebay’s Storyteller’s series this week as a part of their new Fashion focus.  They asked me to participate at the beginning of the year and I’m excited to finally see it up.  Ebay has been pushing their fashion direction this year after hiring Andrea Linett, former Creative Director of Lucky magazine, to bring a fashion forward edge to their already extremely successful site. Andrea and her team (which includes my good friend Heidi Ware as Fashion Director) have been focused on converting ebay customers and fashion followers to refer to ebay as their fashion source for current seasonal product as well as the vintage offerings that they have always been known for.  Style stories is based on the concept that Andrea uses on her blog, I Want To be Her!, where she features creative people with great style that is then linked to e-commerce websites for shopping the looks shown. Take a look at my feature below.

In conjunction with our feature “Get the Look“, we’ve pulled together a great styling story for you to get a similar look to what I wore for the photoshoot.  My outfit above includes a Balenciaga cropped military jacket, a polka dot cami by Corey Lynn Calter , a Gianfranco Ferre’ striped skirt and mixed gold jewelry. Below I have put together a great version of this look that is perfect for summer.

Isabel Marant’s polka dot cami is the perfect top for summer and great paired with Rodebjer’s multi-striped maxi-skirt.  Joseph’s white blazer is a classic item that will last in your wardrobe forever and the double-breasted look is right on for Fall 2011.  Gold accessories top off the look with Fallon’s chain necklace, Pamela Love’s spiked cuff and Roberto Cavalli’s Eagle ring to give the classic look some edge.  Acne’s black wedges are one of my personal favorite buys of the season and Be & D’s Shoulder bag with gold chain accents is a perfect pairing.
