TREND ALERT: THE BLAZER DRESS

January 21, 2011

With androgyny slowing making its mark in the fashion world, men dressing as women is becoming a thing of the norm.  It is only natural that the opposite would ensue and women would start taking cues from their counterparts.

Menswear dressing is making a major mark in fashion with the influence of the 1970’s.  Women are dressing in pantsuits more than ever and the Pre-Fall runways were filled with them.

Some of fashion’s favorites have also been spotted at the Menswear shows sporting this new trend.

Menswear dressing isn’t for everyone, and designers have offered alternatives for those that want to get on board the trend without sacrificing their femininity.  A micro trend has been spotted on the Spring runways that also made a presence in the Pre-Fall collections.

THE BLAZER DRESS is the feminine answer to this borrowed from the boys look.
