MY FAVORITE THINGS: SPRING 2011

January 10, 2011

Before we wrap everything up for our Spring forecasting, I wanted to present my favorite items for the season.  These are the things that I would love to have in my wardrobe for Spring that would encompass all the key items and the pieces that I would want in my wardrobe forever.  Longevity and versatility are just as important as being trend right, so there has to be a balance!  The items I chose can be worn for Spring, but also have a sensibility about them that will allow them to be worn season after season.  When I shop, I look for high design and uniqueness, and I usually pick items that are on the forefront of the trends so that they last for a long time.  Fashion these days is all about versatility, and I always keep that in mind when I choose my favorites.

Hope you enjoy!

So demure but sexy at the same time, these sandals are spectacular.

Acne

Acne is one of my favorite brands, I always LOVE what they do season after season.  I love this oversized sweater because of the back zip detail.  I might wear this everyday!

Emilio Pucci

I chose this dress because of the drama of it;  It makes me gasp with joy when I think about wearing it!  I love the color, the cut, the sexiness and the print.

I covet this necklace by Alex & Lee, a brand from the 70′s who are re -introducing their line this year.  This necklace combines a 100ct Abalone Pearl with a 3 ct raw Diamond and Fossil Scorpion Claw & Coral and other stones.  AMAZING!!!!

Matthew Ames

There is something so refreshing and beautiful about this minimal outfit by Matthew Ames.  Its very classic but edgy at the same time, offering a lot of versatility in both pieces. This designer is doing good things, keep a keen eye on him.

This is my take on the White shirt comeback that is happening this Spring.  The cut is unique and fresh and the deep pockets are remarkable.

    Love some of your favorites.
The Alex & Lee piece looks like something inspired by artist, Gieger. The picture right after from Matthew Ames in blk & wht makes me think of artist, M.C. Escher!

I have to add one more favorite – the Alexander McQueen ballerina pump! The one in pale pink with metal hinges for the heel that looks like some kind of glam steampunk shoe!

    Thanks for sharing!
